Job description:

We have an immediate need for an experienced ASP and Java Developer for a six month contract in Downtown Boston. The ideal Consultant needs to have experience in web development using ASP as front-end and Java as back end. Experience in C# or .NET is not required. The front-end and the back-end communicates using Web Services and therefore experience using Web Services would be desirable. JDBC or SQL Server 2000 is also highly desired.

Job description:

Re-architecting our application infrastructure. We are looking for individuals that are capable of designing and developing enterprise class, multi-tiered, scalable .NET applications in a fast paced team environment. These applications will be windows and web based. Other responsibilities may include developing test scripts, providing leadership in project activities, estimating resource requirements and providing technical expertise. These are contract positions with a potential of becoming a permanent placement.


Minimum Requirements:

2+ years experience with the .NET development. Windows Programming with C#, Winforms, XML. Web Services and .NET Remoting. OO Design/Development. Strong understanding of design patterns. Experience with BizTalk, Sharepoint and/or K2.Net are a plus.

Job Description:

A large Financial Firm in downtown Boston is looking for a Sr. Programmer / Consultant with multiple design & implementations of commercial grade, enterprise level J2EE applications with at least 5 years of experience. Knowledge and ability to design, develop, code and test Java software components, particularly in a web application environment. Must be well versed in Model-View-Controller (MVC) oriented design. Strong use of STRUTS 1.1/Tiles and TagLibraries in previous projects. Ability to write Custom Tags and use of popular design patterns. Need some experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML). Some certifications such as Sun Certified Architect, Programmer or Web Component Developer would be plus.

Required Skills:

  • JAVA, J2EE , Java Servlets, Java Server Pages (JSP), Struts, Tiles, JSTL, Enterprise Java Beans (EJB2.0), JDBC, JDO,

  • JavaMail, SQL, jUnit, ANT, LDAP

  • Experience with STRUTS 1.1 based applications and ablitiy to write Custom Tags

  • Experience with BEA WebLogic 8.1 Server Required

  • Experience with Netegrity and LDAP required

  • Must have experience with applying OO technologies to complex problems, including implementing n-tier J2EE based applications.

  • 4 to 5 years of experience in designing and deploying scalable, high performance, server-side software and in-depth knowledge of Design Patterns.

Other Skills:

  • Knowledge and use of WebServices on Weblogic 8.1 a big plus

  • Must have worked on EJB2.0 (including message driven beans), XML, UML.

  • he candidate must have the ability to effectively communicate with the team members including database architects, java programmers and project administrators.

  • Strong knowledge of Weblogic 8.1 Environment

  • Must have worked with JBuilder 10 or above
